Due to the fact that these oral medications are hard on the liver and/or kidneys, you should discuss the risks with your physician.
Finding a remedy to athlete’s foot is more difficult than preventing it. Always wear shoes of some sort when in locker rooms, as these are the perfect environments for Tirchophyton fungus to breed and propagate. As a general rule, do not go barefoot even when outdoors. You should wear shoes that are made from breathable material such as leather, instead of vinyl which traps moisture. Also, wearing cotton socks allows air to reach the feet to keep them dry. The most effective defence against getting athlete's foot is the ensure that your feet are clean, dry and covered.
